In Apache Desert War, players are tasked with the strategic objective of neutralizing as many enemy units as possible. The game encourages players to take advantage of power-ups and health boosts that are delivered via parachutes, which can significantly aid in accomplishing mission goals. Should the player's helicopter be shot down, there is a system of multiple lives allowing continued gameplay; however, it is important to note that subsequent helicopters do not carry over previously collected bonuses, requiring careful resource management throughout the level.
